The Mother Wound Decode
Your Matrilineal Inheritance Map and 3-Day Mother Wound Rite lands in your inbox within 24 hours.
Before You Start
Nobody sees this. Not your mother, not your partner, not me until you decide to send it to me.
There are no right answers. Nothing here is a diagnosis, and nothing here is a test. You are not being graded. You are being located.
You can stop at any point and come back — your answers save on this device as you go.
Start where it is easiest. And if a question stings — that is the answer. Sting means true.
The Pelvic Bowl
Invitation to Drop In First
Place one hand on your lower belly, over your womb. Ensure your hand is flat and not pressing — just resting.
That is your pelvic bowl. Thirteen doors live in there, and every one of them has been storing something for you since before you could speak.
Inhale through your nose. Fill your womb with your breath and feel your hand rise.
Exhale slowly and let your womb and belly soften.
One more time. Inhale. Exhale. Now keep your hand there to maintain connection as you keep reading.
The Inheritance
Answer as you are, not as you’d like to be. There is no score you should want. A high score in any section means it was never yours to carry — it was handed to you.
Every item has a Prefer not to answer. Skipping never breaks your map.
Do you compare yourself to other women and come up short?
Do you shrink, dim, or go quiet when you’re actually being seen?
Do you feel like you don’t fully belong in your own family?
Do you set your own needs down the moment someone else’s show up?
Do you carry wisdom nobody asks you for — so you’ve stopped offering it?
Do you catch yourself becoming your mother?
Do you feel guilty setting a boundary with your mother?
Do you mother, fix, or carry everyone else from an empty cup?
Do you brace when your partner raises his voice — even when he isn’t angry?
Did you learn that love arrives with conditions, so you keep part of your heart back?
Do you apologize before you speak?
Can you say no without guilt?
Do you know who you are outside your relationships — or does someone else’s version of you show up first?
Do you swallow your truth and emotions to keep the peace?
Is saying yes to your own pleasure harder than saying yes to everyone else?
Do you feel rage you can’t explain?
Do you feel empty even when your life looks full?
Are you exhausted all the time, even after you rest?
Do you keep moving so you never have to feel the quiet?
Have you stopped expecting your life to actually change?
That’s your map. It’s complete.
If you want it to go further, there’s more in here — the sentences, thirteen thresholds about what your mother could and couldn’t give you, and your relationship with her.
If today isn’t the day, stop here. Nothing is missing from what you already have.
The Sentences (optional)
Any sentence you live by that isn’t listed above.
The Thresholds (optional)
Thirteen thresholds you were supposed to be walked through. There is no wrong answer. There is only whether anyone was there.
When you were born — were you wanted and received? Was there any rite of welcoming?
Are you attuned to your body’s sensations, boundaries, hunger, arousal, and rest cues?
Do you easily feel, name, and move emotions through your body?
Do your beliefs and mental frameworks support your healing and sovereignty?
Do you trust your gut and act on intuitive knowing?
When you bled the first time — did you receive your cycle with a celebration, an empowering and educational conversation or a rite of passage revering your blood as sacred?
Do you practice somatic methods that pump your monthly sacred oil up your spine?
Were you given a rite of sexual initiation - other than sex ed class – that taught you that sex is sacred, consent-rooted, and free of shame, sin and taboo?
When you gave your body or your life to someone — was there a rite that taught you about trauma bonds and how to navigate sacred marriage?
When you became a mother — or chose not to — did anyone witness the threshold?
When your first great loss came — was it held? Have you ritually honored abortions, miscarriages, deaths and endings so your womb isn’t a graveyard of silence?
Has anyone prepared you for menopause — the turn?
Has anyone prepared you for the last season — your own death, or your mother’s?
