Map Your Nervous System

You’ve been told you have FOUR separate pains and symptoms.

The migraines. The gut that reacts to everything. The exhaustion sleep doesn’t touch. The pain that moves. The anxiety and fear that don’t disappear.

Four specialists. Four diagnoses. Four prescriptions. Not one of them looked at your WHOLE picture.

18 years as a Chiropractor whose mission is to find the ROOT CAUSE, I can tell you what none of those specialists did:

You don’t have four separate problems.
Your body is not malfunctioning.
You don’t have a “disease”.
You have ONE nervous system — and it’s dysregulated.

It’s running a survival program it wrote a long time ago, and nobody ever taught you how to regulate your nervous system, let alone uproot the root cause.

The reason you can’t see the root yourself is simple. You’re inside it. You’ve been inside it your whole life, so it doesn’t look like a pattern — it looks like YOU.

What Is A Nervous System Map?

The Nervous System Map is the doorway. It asks the questions no one has ever asked you — the trauma that doesn’t feel like trauma, the timeline of what your body experienced but never fully processed, the patterns you have carried so long you think they’re your personality, and the blueprint you inherited from your ancestors. It shows you what no other doctor has shown you. It’s the first honest look at the battlefield living in your nervous system.

Why Do You Need A Nervous System Map At All?

The body keeps the score.

You don’t have a thought or mindset problem. You have a body problem you keep trying to solve from the neck up.

You’ve tried big pharma, alternative modalities such as chiropractic, acupuncture and naturopathic medicine, supplements, diets, detoxes, affirmations, journaling, therapy, self-help books, motivational seminars, yoga, plant medicine retreats, maybe even breathwork and Cannabis. But the same pattern keeps returning — the same pain, the same symptom, the same marriage fight, the same fear, the same financial blockage, the same family drama, the same burnout at work, the same self-judgment and negative self-talk.

That is not a failure of effort. It is a failure of location. The pattern is not stored where you have been looking for it.

Somatophobia is the split: the mind decided early that it was safer to live in the head than in the body, and the body has been faithfully storing everything the mind refused to feel — in your fascia, in your vagus nerve, in the posture you’ve held since the threat first arrived. The pain or symptom you keep chasing is the surface knot. The map finds the missing connection underneath it — the thread in the web that should connect but doesn’t.

What Your Decode Reads

4 symptoms. 1 nervous system with 5 layers. The 4 pains / symptoms are what 1 offline layer feels like from the inside.

A self is not a thing. It’s an assembly — 5 layers, built in a fixed order, bottom-up.

  1. 1. The body layer. Brainstem and insula. The raw map of your internal state. There is a body here, and it has a condition. No story, no name. This is the floor.
  2. 2. The location layer. Parietal and temporoparietal. I am here, and that is there. The membrane. The edge.
  3. 3. The agency layer. I did that. The capacity to act.
  4. 4. The narrative layer. The story of you across time. Memory, future, self-reference.
  5. 5. The social layer. How am I seen.

Every layer carries its own nervous system signature — and every symptom tells you which one is carrying the load.

Here’s the pattern I find most often: the body layer is offline, and the narrative layer has been running the building. The story holding the wheel with no floor beneath it. That’s Somatophobia.

None of this is a character flaw. An offline layer is not a failure. It’s a body doing the only thing it learned to do — well enough that you survived.

BUT here is what it costs. An offline floor means the story has been steering. The jaw. The gut. The shoulder that never lets go. The bill you can’t look at.

1 symptom, 5 possible addresses, and nobody has ever shown you which one is speaking.

Your map names your layers. Which one is running the building. Which one is offline.

And it tells you the order your nervous system can actually take — because the layers come back online from the bottom-up, in the order they were built. You can’t think your way out of a layer-one problem.

What You Receive

A map. Your nervous system’s own web — how your pain, your symptoms, your history, your medications and your wounds actually connect to one another.

It names which of your 5 layers is carrying the load, and which one has gone quiet. It shows you where they connect. And it tells you the order your nervous system can actually take, so you stop working on the wrong floor first.

This is NOT a diagnosis, a protocol, or a sales page dressed as a quiz. This is a map of the one thing nobody has ever laid out in front of you: YOURSELF.

It’s FREE and takes about 6 minutes to answer. The decode will land in your inbox within 24 hours.

Your answers stay private. They are never shared and never sold. This is nervous system education, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

IS IT REALLY FREE?

Yes. No card, no trial, no catch. The first honest look at your own battlefield shouldn’t cost you anything.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

About 6 minutes. First instinct wins — you don’t need essays, you need honesty.

WHAT DO I GET, AND WHEN?

A personal decode, written for your history, in your inbox within 24 hours. Not a score — the missing connection: the thread between what happened to you and what your body is doing now.

IS THIS MEDICAL ADVICE?

No. This is nervous system education. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment, or a sales page dressed as a quiz. Your answers stay yours.

WHY DO YOU ASK ABOUT VACCINES, ILLNESSES AND SURGERIES?

Because your body keeps a timeline whether you do or not. The map asks what your body experienced — the shots, the sicknesses, the procedures — because the timeline is the thread. Answer what you remember. Nothing is assumed.

I DON’T REMEMBER MUCH OF MY CHILDHOOD. CAN I STILL DO THIS?

Yes. The map doesn’t need your full biography — it needs the fragments you have. What you don’t remember is also information.

IS MY INFORMATION PRIVATE?

Completely. It’s never shared, never sold, and never used for anything but your decode.

WHAT IF I’M IN CRISIS RIGHT NOW?

Then you’re exactly who this was made for.

Nobody comes looking for their nervous system when life is working. They come when they’ve hit rock bottom — when the same pattern has beaten them over the head enough times that they finally stop asking “what’s wrong with me?” and start asking “what happened to me?”

That question is the path out. The map doesn’t ask you to climb out first. It hands you the first thread — what happened, what your body did to survive it, and where the way back begins. Six honest minutes. A decode that shows you the missing connection. That’s how people come home — not in one leap, one thread at a time.

WHAT IF I WANT TO GO DEEPER AFTER MY MAP?

The map shows you where you left. When you’re ready, blueprints are the doors back in — each one a deeper decode of one structure of your temple body.

Meet Dr. Shelly

Dr. Shelly Persad in meditation, wearing tan linen and a teal headband with mala beads

I’m Dr. Shelly Persad — retired chiropractor of 18+ years, nervous system architect, somatic plant medicine ceremonialist, author of Somatophobia, and creator of Regulate, a free nervous system regulation app.

I learned what this work is the hard way. At 6 months old, a routine vaccine nearly ended my life — 72 hours of screaming bloody murder with a red, inflamed and irritated body. At 13, my knees collapsed and 2 surgeons wanted to break both my heels to fix my knees. I said NO. At 16, a month of pain sent me through 6 doctors, 6 misdiagnoses, and the words “your left kidney has died” (which was never true) — it was kidney stones inherited from my father. I was the child the medical system kept missing. Somewhere between doctors’ offices and hospital visits, I decided I would learn to read bodies the way no one had read mine.

When the surgeons wanted to break me, a chiropractor aligned my spine — and that adjustment was the first stepping stone on my path to become a Chiropractor. I was so inspired by Chiropractic, I paved my own pathway to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic 2 months after my 23rd birthday.

And then the TRUTH set in: after 4 practices in 3 different countries and cultures, I saw the SAME pattern.

The adjustment helped, but it just wasn’t enough.

I could align the structure, but I couldn’t erase what the nervous system was still running — the old survival files, the unhealed traumas and wounds stored in the fascia, the mind-body split, and the pain, symptoms and patterns that kept returning no matter how aligned the spine was.

Chiropractic was the doorway. The nervous system was the house. The fascia is the architecture.

That’s why this work exists now. Somatophobia — the fear of the body — is the name of the split that causes nervous system dysregulation. I wrote the book to name it, built Regulate to host the somatic practices and rituals, and created this map to decode your nervous system.

Your body doesn’t need another opinion about a pain or symptom. It needs to be read, finally, by someone who knows how. This work is the map back.
